Once we had finish to visit the Kylemore Abbey, we continued our road trip, driving towards a little beach that a friend wanted to show us. Actually, this place was pretty difficult to find. You can't find it by chance, you have to know that it is here to see it because there is no indication to join this beach.
We drive maybe 20 minutes after the Abbey and we took little roads to finally find the beach. This is a place mainly frequented by scuba divers but still, this place was awesome and everybody should see it.
We just sat on the sand and ate our sandwiches, in front of the sea. Hopefully, this day was sunny and we could even put our feet in the water without getting too cold.
The sea was pretty calm and the beach really quiet. Actually, there was only the four of us -and a dog, that came from the scuba diver club 50 meters next to this place- on the beach. We could say that this place was our own little landmark.
I really enjoyed it, and it was amazingly beautiful. Actually, it was also pretty stunning because once you leave the Abbey you can't imagine that a sand beach, and a quiet seaside as this one are 15-20minutes by car from here. That's was pleasantly surprising.

(Yes, this picture was taken in Ireland!)
After that, we drive towards Cong, a little village in the Connemara.
There, we took a walk in Cong Woods to find "the pigeon hole". The route was indicated on a little map and we had to follow arrows in the woods to find this place. When we arrived, we just saw a little cave to go in. We couldn't see a lot but it was pretty cool though, and the walk from the woods to the cave is pretty nice too. We saw a lot of different plants -whom a huge place filled with clovers, rabbits and even few mouse wandering around.
Actually I really enjoyed it, although it was only a simple path in the woods, but I felt like a real adventuress for few hours. I felt overwhelmed by the nature and I love it.
Before going back to Galway we decided to visit one last thing in Cong. So, to conclude this big day we decided to go visit the Ashford Castle just in the center of the city (not hard to find, Cong is really small).

This Castle is mainly occupied by celebrities or really important people, as an Hotel. You can enter the castle either from the front door either by the back passage in the woods. Of course, we decided to take the way in the woods to join the Castle. We maybe walk 15minutes to arrive on the little bridge just in front of the Castle. Luckily, this day was free for visitors (normaly it's 5€ to visit the gardens). So, we just entered the residence and walk in the gardens.
This was really nice because the landscape was very colorful thanks to all the flowers and the trees. We even found a little hidden passage under the actual garden towards a kitchen garden. We could also climb in guard towers to see higher or just to take a nice picture.
Thank you for reading :)
