Discover my visiting day in Glasgow, from the Lighthouse (Scotland's national center for design and architecture), to Necropole of Glasgow.
Two days ago (Sunday 11.10) I meet friends in the city center of Glasgow at around 1pm to begin a visit tour in the city of Glasgow. As we all were here for about one month and didn't see a lot of the city, we decided to take a day to check out all the main places of the city.
at 1pm we met at the Lighthouse, which is the Scotland's national center for design and architecture. We visit the Mackintosh center, where some Rennie Mackintosh's maquettes and models of buildings, chairs, cutlery, etc. were exposed.

Also, there was another exposition with other chairs exposed and a lot of information presented as illuminated columns.
It was really interesting but my favorite part of the center was that on the 6th floor you have a platform where there is a panoramic view of the City.
It's stunning. Moreover, when we went it wasn't too cold outside. It was as if the city was sprinkled by colors : the threes are turning orange and yellow because of the autumn and the christmas lights begin to be installed.
After that, we just went to walk around in Central Station, which is huge. When you leave the design center, you just have 5 minutes by walk from the station. When you enter it, it's really impressive because it's like a little city under a huge glass roof covering not only the train but also many shops, coffees, librairies, etc.
Speaking of that, we drank a coffee in one of the places in the station: The Gordon Street Coffee. They are offering real coffee, and even special ones with pumpkins flavor for Halloween. Obviously, I wanted to try that so I ended in taking a Thai Pumpkin Latte and this was really really good.
Also, you can buy coffee from all around the world here and the place is really nice.
If you want a good coffee, you can go here, it's really nice.
Thank you for reading :)
